The Armed Republic of Mature Content is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Mx Communism with an iron fist, and remarkable for its closed borders, enslaved workforce, and prohibition of alcohol. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 2.648 billion Test Subjects are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, well-organized government is dominated by the Department of Defense, although Law & Order, Industry, and Administration are also considered important, while International Aid and Welfare receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ayoville. The average income tax rate is 61.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Test Subjectian economy, worth 431 trillion bitcoins a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Woodchip Exports, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 162,877 bitcoins, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.3 times as much as the poorest.

The country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, it is technically inaccurate to call the dead 'worm food', an alabaster statue of an ancient cat-deity takes pride of place in the centre of Ayoville, and the holiday spirit must not be taken to the max. Crime is a major problem. Mature Content's national animal is the beaver, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Mature Content is ranked 183,126th in the world and 3rd in SpaceBalls for Most Scientifically Advanced, scoring 50.79 on the Kurzweil Singularity Index.
